Warehouse Associate

Pay: CA$17.00 - CA$19.00 per hour

Southern Comfort Mechanical is a growing business, and we are currently looking to add a warehouse associate to work at our main location in Grande Pointe, MB. SCMI provides many long-term employment opportunities with very low turnover. The successful applicants will be exposed to a wide variety of work both indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing material and placing in the appropriate inventory locations.
• Delivering material to job sites and picking up materials from SCMi vendors as needed.
• Loading and unloading shipments regularly.
• Repetitive manual lifting and handling of heavy objects.
• Operating a forklift, skid steer, and other equipment when needed.
• Unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse or yard, and keeping both neat and orderly to maximize material and movement efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have current Manitoba Driver’s License.
• Must be available Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
• Must be willing and able to work both indoors and outdoors year round.
• Knowledge of, and experience driving in, Winnipeg.
• Experience loading/unloading, securing, and driving with a trailer.
• Must be able to manually lift heavy objects such as furnaces, air conditioning units, etc.
• Experience operating a forklift and skid steer operation is a strong asset.
