Mapleton Lane Housing

For the Mapleton Lane Life Lease Estates project, Southern Comfort Mechanical designed and installed a fully integrated central plant geothermal system with a shallow closed vertical ground loop. The ground loop on this project is installed around the perimeter of the building.

The Mapleton building was fully concrete, requiring holes to be drilled for all anchor points. This required installers pre-plan installation correctly to minimize time associated with mounting pipes and equipment. In addition, the building site had space constraints for installing the loop, since drilling depth was only 50 ft.  Ground loop optimization and properly planning the location of each borehole allowed for the ground loop to be sized appropriately.
