Phase Two of Niverville Personal Care Home Completed
The Niverville Personal Care Home is scheduled to open its doors this month. This $13.8 million community-built facility has been constructed without any government funding. The 80-bed residential personal care home is the first of its kind in Manitoba and will include Canada’s first special-care unit specifically for aggressive Alzheimer’s and dementia patients.
Southern Comfort Mechanical Inc. was awarded the contract for phase two of construction, which included geothermal, ductwork, ventilation, and HVAC installation. The building will be 100% heated and cooled by this geothermal system with a vertical ground loop. We also installed a state-of-the-art variable volume ventilation system in the kitchen/bistro area. Our work has been held to the highest construction standard and it has been an exciting challenge to tackle this project. We are proud to be involved in such a large-scale, innovative community project.
