About Us

Located in Niverville, Southern Comfort Mechanical Inc. has been in business since 2001.  During that time, partners Mel Buhler and Paul Neufeld have grown the business from two to 20 employees.  SCMI is a full service mechanical contractor with the following divisions:

Mel Buhler

With over 29 years of experience, Mel oversees the day-to-day operations of SCMI including accounting and project management. Mel is also a refrigeration journeyman.

Paul Neufeld

With over 17 years of experience, Paul is responsible for technical system design and installation compliance, project management and our service division.
Mike Millard

With over 8 years of experience, Mike oversees the geothermal division and business development.  Mike has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hon.) from the Asper School of Business.

Clarence Jonker

With over 6 years of business development experience in the construction industry, Clarence is responsible for residential geothermal, conventional heating, and plumbing business development. Clarence has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hon.) from the I.H. Asper School of Business.
